Seed potato harvest in North Holland — STAMAGRI
Seed Potatoes

From field to world

How STAMAGRI delivers seed potatoes from North Holland soil to growers around the world.

It starts in the fields at the top of North Holland. Here our seed potatoes are grown on the fertile soil that makes this region so well suited for potato cultivation. After harvest, the potatoes are graded, inspected by NAK and prepared for shipment.

From 't Zand, STAMAGRI exports seed potatoes to growers in Morocco, Greece, Spain, Germany, France and various countries in Eastern Europe. Each country has its own requirements — from phytosanitary certificates to specific grading and packaging. Milo Stam manages this from start to finish: the right documentation, the right transport and the right quality.

What sets us apart is the direct contact. No intermediaries, no complicated structures. Growers call Milo, discuss what they need, and we deliver. Sometimes Milo visits buyers in person to assess growing conditions and advise on the best approach.

Partnerships with growers abroad

STAMAGRI supplies seed potatoes to growers in multiple countries. How our personal approach makes the difference for international customers.

In the seed potato trade, everything revolves around trust. Growers abroad need to rely on the potatoes they receive meeting exactly what was agreed: the right grading, the right class and delivered at the right time. STAMAGRI builds those relationships through personal contact and consistent quality.

Our customers range from smaller growers in Southern Europe who need a few tonnes of seed potatoes, to larger operations in North Africa and Eastern Europe. For each customer we assess what works best: which variety, which size, which packaging. A grower in Morocco has different needs than a grower in Germany — and that is what makes the work so interesting.

The strength of a family business is that you always get the same person on the line. No rotating account managers, no helpdesk. Milo knows his customers and their growing conditions. That translates into advice that goes beyond just supplying seed potatoes.

Stam Friet — fresh fries from our own cultivation in North Holland
Stam Friet

Fresh fries, straight from the land

Why customers in the North Holland region choose Stam Friet. Freshly cut, own cultivation, and personal service from Zico Stam.

Stam Friet was born from a simple idea: the potatoes we grow ourselves, we can also process into the best fries. Zico Stam cuts the fries fresh from the Agria and Frieslander varieties — no frozen products, no middlemen. From the field in 't Zand straight to the customer.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Zico drives his route through the North Holland region. Regular customers know exactly when he arrives. Snack bars, restaurants and individuals — everyone gets the same quality and the same personal service. Placing an order is simple: a WhatsApp message to Zico and it is sorted.

You can taste the difference immediately. Fresh fries from our own cultivation have a different flavour and texture than factory fries. The short chain — from field to cutting machine to customer — ensures the potato is at its best when it hits the fryer. That is what Stam Friet stands for: honest product, no detours.
